Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead continuous improvement projects within multiple facilities.
  • Improve the production flow through utilization of labor incentives.
  • Recommend and lead new projects, improvements, and product design changes applying your knowledge of lean manufacturing and engineering principles.
  • Engage in New Product Introduction teams, Engineering Change Requests, and other relevant processes that directly impact manufacturing.
  • Participate in prototype reviews and providing feedback to product engineers.
  • Develop and update FMEA’s & PFMEA’s.
  • Analyze and improve ergonomics within operations to ensure a safe environment.
  • Participate in long-range planning, including plant layout and equipment needs.
  • Investigate, justify, and implement special packaging projects including tooling and equipment setup.
  • Prepare documentation and provide metrics, flow charts and diagrams as needed.
  • Maintain manufacturing information in our MRP system.
  • Provide support to other departments such as Production, Quality, Engineering, and Sourcing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Process or Industrial Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience in an assembly environment.
  • Understanding of Process or Industrial Engineering concepts and principles focused on process efficiencies, quality control, and cost analysis.
  • Experienced in a Continuous Improvement environment.
  • Strong Proficiency in labor methods to maximize operation workflow.
  • Effective analytical skills in problem solving.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrate strong and effective verbal and written skills able to communicate across multiple organizational lines.
  • Strong initiative to work independently and diligently.
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and demonstrate leadership.
  • Have a desire to work with others to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel.
  • Experience with AutoCAD a plus.
  • Experience with MODAPTS a plus.
