Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager position will manage, organize and advance the processes, procedures, equipment and capabilities of the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance departments in our Poynette production facility.  This position offers an opportunity to lead continuous improvement in a growing company. 

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Supervision of the engineering and maintenance staffs.
  • Provide leadership to the staff including setting short/long-term goals and strategic direction.
  • Analyze and implement advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Work with product development teams on design for manufacturability, equipment capabilities, cost and testability.
  • Define, propose and implement capital equipment for process improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain expense budgets.
  • Develop and sustain a training and development program for new hires and current staff within the department.

Qualifications

What special qualifications will you bring to this position?  The following knowledge, skills, and abilities will serve beneficial to you in being successful as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing engineering and production maintenance techniques in a fast pace environment. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify and implement improvements. 
  • Advanced leadership skills in managing a professional staff and projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field with 5 years management experience with direct reports.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
