Residential New Construction Sales Manager

Innovative new product offerings, unprecedented growth, and expansion into new markets has created the need for a Residential New Construction Sales Manager in the Mid-Atlantic region. This exciting new role requires a talented and influential sales professional who will be responsible for developing and managing large-scale residential new construction dealer accounts to meet significant sales goals.


Performance Objectives:

  • Identify sales opportunities and develop thorough business plan with financial analysis to support the conversion of a targeted number of large dealer accounts to Aprilaire.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key team members, including Channel Manager, Distribution Manager, Regional Sales Manager, District Sales Managers, National Sales Training Manager, Product Managers, and Marketing Communications group.
  • Secure new opportunities and build on sales opportunities initiated by the District Sales Manager but not yet fully realized.
  • Develop opportunity and new business plans and execute with support of District Sales Managers and National Sales Training Manager for contractor training. Utilize District Sales Managers for troubleshooting and development of dealer implementation plans.
  • Work directly with Distribution Managers to get pricing and logistics from distribution, in addition to validation of products purchased through distribution.
  • With the support of Marketing Communications, develop customized sales and marketing tools to support customer activities.
  • Work closely with product management on new and modified products, application guidance and product positioning
  • Own all aspects of contractor business and have full accountability for securing and managing dealer business. Accountable for managing the expectations and sales volume commitments of each account and ensuring timely delivery of Aprilaire incentives and support.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting metrics, communicating progress and activity, maintaining individual contractor dashboards, and keeping all account data current.
  • Requires a significant amount of travel: 60 – 70% overnight.

  • Ability to travel up to 70% of time overnight.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or experience.
  • Four to ten years’ experience in progressive sales roles.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success.
