The Quality Engineer position will be a part of the team to maintain the quality management system throughout the Corporation and reinforce the culture of "exceeding customer expectations" through ongoing continuous improvement. 



You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring product quality, while maintaining a visible manufacturing floor presence.
  • Establish and validate quality monitoring methodologies; apply statistical techniques to minimize risk and pro-actively address potential non-conformities.
  • Assist with deployment of process control systems within manufacturing.
  • Administer SPC software system.
  • Collect and review manufacturing data to evaluate process and equipment capabilities.
  • Conduct periodic surveillance audits of measurements and control plans.
  • Provide process improvement know-how, methods and expertise to the manufacturing plant floor.
  • Assist in training key employees in the quality sciences.
  • Work within cross functional teams to ensure quality related activities are completed for new product releases.
  • Coordinate problem solving activities associated with internal and external issues to improve product/process capability.
  • Lead ongoing efforts to reduce product defect rates, rework, and other non-value added costs.
  • Perform internal audits to validate compliance of the Quality Management System.
  • Work with manufacturing facilities to generate continuous improvement metrics and reduce operational costs.
  • Develop and report performance data for processes and products.


What special qualifications will you bring to this position?  The following knowledge, skills, and abilities will serve beneficial to you in being successful as a Quality Engineer.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Technically strong in the ISO standard, quality statistical tools (gage R&R, DOE) and project management.
  • Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills.
  • Strong execution capability, time-management skills, and multi-tasking.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools and the ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
  • Team oriented leader with a track record of organizational success and passion for delivering industry leading highest quality, customer driven products and services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering related major, with 3-5 years progressive quality engineering experience.
  • ASQC - Certified Quality Engineer strongly desired
  • Previous experience in a high volume manufacturing organization that is ISO certified or compliant.
  • Six sigma certification and a strong background in LEAN highly valued.
  • Experience developing a culture that values the customer, values the company's employees and prides itself on exceptional quality while driving organizational growth.
