    Aprilaire® is bringing in new talent and looking for an outgoing, ambitious Human Resources Team Member for our Poynette and Madison, Wisconsin manufacturing facilities for four to five months, but the position could also go longer and may turn into a regular full-time position.

    In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the recruiting in our Madison and Poynette facilities.  Additional areas include supporting company-sponsored employee events and volunteering activities and various projects within the Human Resources Department.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Sourcing, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations in collaboration with hiring managers for production staff positions in the Madison and Poynette manufacturing facilities.
    • Assisting the Human Resources team with the recruitment process for general staff positions. Includes posting positions online and maintaining Aprilaire website job postings; conducting phone screens and scheduling interviews; administration of employment assessments, background checks, post-offer drug testing, and pre-employment physicals.
    • Assisting with new hire paperwork and E-Verifying all new employees.
    • Utilize the applicant tracking software to identify new applicants, move applicants to hiring managers, managing the movement of applicants within the software.
    • Assist with company-sponsored employee events and volunteering activities.
    • Providing support on other projects within the Human Resources Department.


    • Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources or related field. 1-2 years recruiting experience preferred; 1-2 years’ experience supporting an Human Resources department. 
    • Experience conducting structured and unstructured interviews is a plus.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    • The ability to manage multiple priorities and frequent interruptions without losing focus or productivity; ability to meet time sensitive deadlines.
    • Committed to customer service; possesses a positive and professional attitude.
    • Strong attention to detail; strives for quality work.
    • A strong sense of urgency and the ability to work under tight deadlines. 
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and to work independently under general supervision.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications a must.
    • Ability to work overtime when necessary.
    • Ability to split time between multiple locations and travel between facilities on a weekly and sometimes daily basis.
