    Aprilaire® is growing and that's why we're looking for an outgoing, ambitious Distribution and Transportation Specialist in our Poynette manufacturing facility.

    Responsibilities

     

    The essential duties and responsibilities include:

    • Coordinate the internet order and shipping process.
    • Review orders for accuracy and inventory availability.
    • Coordinate delivery with internal and external warehouses and execute shipping confirmation.
    • Investigate debit/credit claims.
    • Assist with inventory tracking and transfer between all inventory locations, inside and outside of the company.
    • Coordinate pick-up of customer paid freight.
    • Evaluate Transportation management System mode routings for errors and switch carrier as needed.
    • Execute inventory cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
    • Assist with customer specific requirements (palletizing, labeling, audit inspections, etc).
    • Coordinate customer service change requests.
    • Assist with export documentation, communication with forwarders for booking information, mode of shipment and process paperwork after shipment is complete.
    • Assist with tracing inbound and outbound shipments for customers and the company.  Process claims for damage or loss of shipment.  Investigate cause of damage.
    • Provide customer tracking updates.
    • Process inbound Return Good Authorizations.
    • Assist with shipping/invoice reconciliation.
    • Assist customers with questions on freight bills. Audit/adjust freight bills as necessary.

     

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma and 6-12 months related experience.
    • Ability to analyze information skillfully.
    • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
    • Adaptability - Able to deal with frequent interruptions, change, delays, or unexpected events.
    • Ability to multi-task and stay well-organized.
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to complete projects with limited instructions in a given time frame.
    • Punctuality, dependability, and trust are required.
    • Customer service attitude; strives for quality work.
    • Ability to “think outside the box” and implement efficiencies
    • Responds to customer needs; meets commitments.
    • A collaborative team player.
