    Responsibilities

    • Provide day to day HR support and counsel to employees regarding employee relations issues, employee communications, and process and policy.
    • Manage recruitment needs, includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations.
    • Manage applicant communication process through the Applicant Tracking System
    • Administration of employment assessments, background checks, post-offer drug testing, and pre-employment physicals.
    • Manage the attendance, leave of absence and sick leave policies per the plant rules and FMLA guidelines.
    • Onboard new employees through new hire paperwork, completion of HRIS tasks and new hire and benefit orientations.
    • Communicate benefit information to employees and work to resolve benefit questions.
    • Assist with company-sponsored employee events and volunteering activities.
    • Provide support on other projects within the Human Resources Department.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field with 3-5 years' experience in an HR role in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in recruiting, applicant tracking systems and FMLA administration.
    • Basic knowledge of personnel policies and procedures, employee benefit programs, and related legal compliance areas, including an understanding of labor issues and laws.
    • A positive, caring, and fair attitude toward others.  
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    • The ability to manage multiple priorities and frequent interruptions without losing focus or productivity.
    • Committed to customer service; possesses a positive and professional attitude.
    • Strong attention to detail; strives for quality work.
    • A strong sense of urgency and the ability to work under tight deadlines. 
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and to work independently under general supervision.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications a must.
