We are expanding as we grow and adding a new radon removal product line to our product portfolio. Radon mitigation is pivotal to the support of health air within the home. 


We are currently seeking a Business Development Specialist to support and deliver Radon solutions to our HVAC businesses within a specific territory. You will be able to make an impact on our business's revenue within this territory by leaning into our customers, delivering creative solutions, and contributing to our company's success year over year. This role will allow you the opportunity to learn how to engage in consultative sales and grow your career with Aprilaire!


Candidate should reside in the state of Pennsylvania or within the Northeast territory for consideration. 


Your day will include:

  • Partner with the Sales and Marketing departments to create sales campaigns selling our Radon product in tandem with other Aprilaire Healthy Home products 
  • Accountable for managing the customer's expectations and commitments (sales volume) of each account 
  • Meet with clients in their local markets and persuade businesses to incorporate Radon into their Healthy Air/Healthy Home product portfolio 
  • Develop opportunity and new business plans with each assigned Radon market to be executed.
  • Partner with local Aprilaire District Sales Managers and additional sales team to target clients with potential to add on Radon products 
  • Responsible for existing account development and adding new accounts where needed to reach Radon sales objectives
  • Conducting regular trainings on the Radon product, support customer's marketing needs, and other activity to increase sales within local markets 
  • Work jointly with Aprilaire Distribution Managers to confirm pricing and logistics with existing sales network. Manage follow-up on requests for new accounts according to company procedures and make recommendations on addition. 
  • Collaborate with your manager for approval of product modifications and customized sales and marketing tools; once approved, work with Marketing to get the needs of the customer met


  • 4 weeks of product training (including classroom style, hands on within a hybrid environment) 
  • Ongoing sales training support throughout your first year and beyond 
  • Must pass or have a Radon certification tests for Radon measurement and mitigation; Aprilaire will support your training and testing for this certification
