What you should know about an internship at Aprilaire:

  • Summer internships typically start at the beginning of the summer break and end by the time you go back to school in the fall. Internships may also be available during the school year. We can be flexible with start and end times based on your individual circumstances.
  • Internships are full-time, Monday through Friday during typical business hours.
  • This is a paid internship.
  • We value the fresh ideas and knowledge you bring to the table, and you’ll have the opportunity to work on projects that are of high importance to our mission of helping everyone breathe healthy air.
  • Our dress code is “dress for the day,” which means you can wear more casual attire to work.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to participate in social outings and volunteering events throughout your internship with your team and with other interns. (Note: These events may be adjusted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.)
  • You’ll be eligible for employee discounts on Aprilaire products, allowing you to provide friends and family the ability to breathe healthy air.
  • Our Lunch with a Leader program gives you the chance to interact and learn from successful leaders in our business. 
  • You’ll have an opportunity to present in front of leadership at the end of the internship showcasing your projects and hard work all summer. 
  • We are close to downtown and on bus routes. We also provide free parking as well as indoor bike parking in our engineering technology center (Madison locations only).

 

Responsibilities

As a Digital Marketing Intern, your day may include: 

  • Working with all aspects of web, email, and digital marketing from start to finish. 
  • Email marketing - building emails, list management, uploading and sending to target lists
  • Maintain Aprilaire.com and AprilairePartners.com websites – updating website content with Sitefinity CMS, creating, collecting, and publishing assets for websites
  • Help with testing new site functionality, troubleshooting eStore issues, sending eStore test orders through
  • Tracking and providing Google Analytics reports and presentations for email, websites, and PR
  • Creating procedure documents for department use
  • Search engine optimization (SEO) to improve organic search, includes performing keyword research and evaluation, plus SEO improvements for blog and social media efforts to increase traffic
  • Conducting market research - researching potential new markets for our products
  • Learning and using data driven marketing to establish ways to improve campaign performances

Qualifications

  • Student currently enrolled in a Marketing program
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong initiative and follow up
  • Strong desire to grow and learn - responsive to feedback and coaching, excellent listening skills, a curious and questioning mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Creative Cloud desired but not required.  Ability to learn needed software programs.
  • Some knowledge of HTML
