Aprilaire is seeking a Director of Customer Channel Development to join our team! In this role you'll have the ability to strategically lead a team of people as we expand our capabilities in supporting our customers (and our customers' customers!). You'll make an impact by setting the vision and direction of our Channel Marketing team along with our corporate training team and event marketing group. 

 

Open to location-Madison, WI is ideal, but not required to be considered for the role. 

Responsibilities

Your day will include:

  • Strategically lead the Channel Marketing Development and Management across the Aprilaire network of B2B dealers, distribution partners, and national accounts.This includes comprehensive go-to-market plans and strategies to improve Aprilaire’s competitive advantage including strategic pricing plans, distributor incentives, Healthy Air Partner programs, sell-through strategies, commercial programs, collateral development, new product launches and channel loyalty initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives and tactics consistent with leadership in the channel and measure impact of activities associated with execution
  • Manage, lead, and coach a team of Channel Marketing Managers, Corporate Trainers, and additional event marketing employees 
  • Develop the vision, strategy, structure and execution plan for the product training team that supports dealers and distribution with potential for future development. This will include defining our digital education strategy and deployment model to reach dealers and distributors annually as well as building a world-class on-site technology and innovation center to engage Aprilaire customers showcasing our healthy air system and solutions. 
  • Lead customer development and engagement through the training team by offering a unique relationship-building experience for dealers/distributors/retailers/employees and HVAC contractors to come together
  • Hire, develop, and implement a new team of event marketing leaders that will be responsible for building the brand with consumers and the trade, supporting distribution sell through initiatives, community events / fairs and HVAC school relationship development.  
  • Develop vision, strategy, structure, KPIs and launch of the training team & Technology Center
  • Define the role, vision strategy and execution plan for Channel Marketing at Aprilaire. This includes redefining the healthy air partners strategy to drive better attachment and sell through at both distribution and dealer level. 
  • Implement strategic pricing initiatives and offerings 
  • Redesigning high impact new product launch plans to drive early adoption and customer loyalty
  • Develop CRM strategy & implementation plan
  • Assess and define systems and infrastructure needs to support implementation plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering required; MBA highly desired 
  • 10 years minimum experience in high performing B2B or B2C product focused companies
  • 3 years experience as a Director managing a team of employees and B2B or B2C channels 
  • Prior experience and knowledge of big data analytics, CRM, and digital marketing 
  • Travel 20-30% of the time
  • Hands-on, action-oriented, “player-coach” personality
  • Experience building and growing a highly effective and collaborative team 
  • Demonstrates a high degree of learning agility, actively benchmarks / networks, and develops others
