We are adding to our team! Join us at our Sun Prairie location as the Product Manager-Filters our largest product category that is sold through our 2 step distribution chain as well as our eCommerce channels. You will focus on our filters and media products.  You will manage the product life cycle, conducting VOC and market research, generating documentation to support your product line, and driving commercialization and post launch analytics. Responsibilities

Your day will include: 

  • Manage the entire life cycle of the defined product line within the business from VOC, strategic planning, product definition, tactical launch and end of life activities.
  • Spearhead the launch of new products into the market through comprehensive documentation of detailed product requirements. This involves capturing Voice of Customer (VOC) insights, crafting compelling end customer value propositions, devising effective go-to-market strategies, evaluating the impact on the product portfolio, outlining operational requirements, and conducting thorough financial analyses.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, marketing, and sales team to translate product requirements into actionable plans and deliverables. 
  • Skilled at designing consumer/customer research and translates consumer needs into value attributes the organization can execute to achieve winning product designs.
  • Perform continual assessment of comprehensive research on competitors, including their products, services, pricing strategies, market positioning, distribution channels, marketing tactics, and competitive positioning.  Analyze competitor strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) to identify areas for differentiation, product positioning, assortment gaps and competitive advantage.
  • Leads in the development and execution of product and technology roadmap to ensure development project meets channel, end user, financial, and revenue objectives.
  • Supports P&L performance through value engineering, pricing/mix management, and SKU rationalization.
  • Drives development of best-in-class go-to-market plans, sales activities/support, and marketing materials to ensure smooth and successful product delivery and to customers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related questions and issues, both internally and externally. 

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in product development, product management, and product life cycle
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Skilled in project management, collaboration between departments, and curious mindset 
  • Passionate about data analysis, innovation, and customer engagement
  • Effective attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Familiarity and experience with stage-gate New Product Development (NPD) and portfolio management processes.
  • Familiarity and experience with product lifecycle simplification and/or rationalization processes.
  • Expert in with MS Office (Excel / Word / Power Point) 
  • Willingness to travel primarily in North America up to 25 days per year (you will plan your own strategic travel and with advance notice)
