We have an exciting opening for an experienced Reliability Engineer! In this newly created position due to growth, you will support our engineering team by working to define reliability goals and assess current and potential risks, all while helping develop and implement new organizational processes. 

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:  

  • On New Product Innovation Programs:
    • Identify Historic Reliability Risk
    • Define Reliability Goals
    • Participate & Mentor Team on System/Design FMEA
    • New Technology Reliability Risk Evaluation
    • Failure Identification Testing (HALT, Step Stress, etc)
    • Reliability Test Planning (Accelerated Life Test to Failure, Step Stress, Success Run, etc)
    • Reliability Demonstration of Critical Component
    • Develop Quality Assurance Test
    • Define Warranty Return Analysis
    • Define Field Test Plan
    • Lead Review of Field Test Findings
    • Run the Failure Review Board
  • Review Warranty Data for Potential Issues
    • Run Failure Review Boards
    • Build Evidence Packages
    • Model Probability of Failure for Specific Issues
    • Drive for Continuous Improvement of Products
  • Lead / Mentor Root Cause Analysis
  • Support Development and Maintenance of Product Quality and Reliability Tools
    • Reliability Demonstration Test
    • Failure Mode Management (FMEA / FRACAS)
    • Warranty Reporting / Analysis (Dashboards, Charts, Call Center Data)
    • Field Test Database and Dashboard
    • Quality Assurance Test System and Dashboard

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10+ years of on the job engineering experience
  • 7+ years of Reliability experience
  • 5+ years of developing and implementing new processes
  • 7+ years of facilitating FMEAs
  • 5+ years of developing tests (process, procedures, fixtures, monitoring systems)
  • Knowledge to train others on FMEA or FMECA
  • Knowledge to contribute to Agile Development
  • Knowledge to contribute to Product Development (Agile and/or Waterfall)
  • Understanding of System Engineering
  • Knowledge to train others on Reliability Demonstration Testing (ALT to Failure, Success Run, Test to Failure)
  • Knowledge to Develop new test stands (Specification, Monitoring / Control, Fixtures, etc.)
  • Knowledge to develop a Reliability Goal Allocation
  • Knowledge to develop and analyze Reliability Growth Analysis
