Exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team at our Sun Prairie Innovation Center! In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to work to develop and ensure conformance and performance claims for both sourced and new products to help meet customer needs.

 

 

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Lead multi- disciplinary project teams to bring new products to market while meeting cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
  • Develop and executes project plans including resourcing, timeline, and budget.
  • Ensure product quality of sourced and new product development by executing design reviews, reviewing test plans and results, executing FMEAs.
  • Support partner evaluation and selection including onsite supplier audits.
  • Prepare and present project status reports.
  • Act as a technical resource to other departments including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales and Marketing to address and resolve inquiries and problems.
  • Guide the team in preliminary risk assessments, feasibility investigations, and scoping activities.
  • Accumulate product application expertise.   
  • Research and act as a specialist on governmental and regulatory compliance for our products.
  • Investigate new technologies and trends that apply to the controls product category.
  • Assist in developing processes and implementing process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 1-3 years of relevant on the job work experience
  • Experience with electronic hardware and/or embedded firmware development.
  • Working knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of metal and plastic part fabrication a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
  • Strong analytical and technical engineering skills.
